Cloud Computing CLE
March 12, 2013 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
On March 12, 2013, I’ll be participating in a “Lunch and Learn” program on Cloud Computing at the Suffolk County Bar Association from 12:30-2:00 p.m. “Cloud computing” refers to the use of hardware and software that are not located on the user’s computer or other device, but are delivered over a network like the Internet. Cloud computing brings many advantages to businesses, including law practices, in terms of economy and efficiency. But – especially for lawyers – there are also potential pitfalls. In this program, a quartet of local practitioners discusses what cloud computing is, what programs are available, what questions lawyers should ask cloud providers, and what to do about issues of client confidentiality. It is a progam for our times. Don’t miss it!
