10 Ways to Lose Good Clients
Tuesday, September 25, 2007; 5:00 p.m. Eastern

Lawyers' business development efforts often focus on getting new clients, but an important part of keeping any law firm going is keeping your existing clients happy. And getting additional work from existing clients (either through getting a bigger piece of the 'pie' from a particular client or through referrals from loyal clients) is easier than getting work from a brand new client.

This teleseminar will address 10 pitfalls to providing excellent client service. You'll learn the ways lawyers lose good clients, and how to turn those relationships around. You'll get valuable insights into what clients want and how to keep your clients happy so they come back (and refer others!)

The presenters

Paramjit Mahli of Sun Communications Group has been in the communications field for over 17 years. Her experience in teaching, journalism and communications spans three countries: England, Canada and the United States.

As a former journalist, Paramjit has 'inside information' about what it takes to create effective communications and marketing programs.

Paramjit's business focuses on small to mid-sized law firms, and she has successfully worked with many firms to effectively grow their practices using the media and marketing techiques.

Allison Shields of Legal Ease Consulting has been a practicing lawyer for over 12 years and the Administrative Partner at a 50 lawyer firm. Her background provides a unique perspective on the challenges faced by law firms and law firm managers in particular.

Allison has been involved with all aspects of management and marketing, and faced many of the same daily challenges lawyers face.  She discovered her passion for helping lawyers and law firms create practices they love, while attracting the best clients and providing those clients with exceptional service.

Allison has made it her mission to ferret out the most frustrating and difficult aspects of managing and marketing a law firm, and to discover, with her clients, the most effective ways of meeting those challenges. This teleclass series is just one way she's sharing those experiences with you.

As business owners, both Allison and Paramjit know first hand the struggles of trying to 'do it all', and the challenges involved in promoting yourself and your business on a tight budget.

Stein photo"I didn't think Allison understood the needs of a solo...

but now I think she's one of the best law practice management 'coaches' around. She really understands how to take the lawyer's skills and let your firm grow in the direction you want it to. She understands the business side of practicing law. She gets to know you and your needs and really helps avoid meltdowns."
